Want to be the change? Try this.

I started seeing a new naturopathic doctor a few weeks ago.

Filling out the pages and pages of medical history forms brought me back in time to revisit former versions of me I hadn't thought about in a long time, like the girl who had 3 knee surgeries and learned about all of the drugs she's allergic to - the hard way.

I revisited the new mama who was recovering from an emergency c-section and found herself readmitted to the hospital with infections and major complications and so much more.

Every single entry on the page of these medical forms was a reminder of how far I have come, not only in my physical health, but, most of all, in the ways I think about myself and what's possible for my life.

It also brought me back to June of last year.

I had an appointment with my fertility doctor to explore the possibility of IVF.

We had been trying for a second babe for years, which included 3 early stage miscarriages and a failed IUI procedure.

We were finally ready to have this conversation.

We sat at the table with notepads and eager hearts watching my doctor flipped through my textbook-thick stack of charts.

In his Italian accent, he recited my lab reports, methodically building a case for what was about to come next.

I have been his patient for over a decade and I could instantly tell that he was grappling with the right way to say what needed to be said.

I politely interrupted him and asked the only question I knew would get to the heart of what was unfolding here.

"If I were your daughter, would you recommend we go through with IVF?"

In a word, he said, "No."

I took a deep breath and thanked him for his honesty and fought back my hot tears until we got to the car.

It took me a few days to comprehend this integrate this new information.

It was heavy and hard when I let myself really go there...

But the clouds quickly cleared as I reminded myself of the work I had committed my life to.

I remembered how potent the power of our thoughts and our words truly are.

"You are continually reaping the fruits of your words." - Florence Scovel Schinn

I knew that staying *there* was not going to help me elevate my energy, nor live in a state that aligned me with what it was I wanted most - second babe and all.

Instead of focusing on what was not possible, I dialed down on what I could control.

This experience invited me to optimize my health even more. It lead me to a deeper spiritual practice and study and to paying closer attention to the patterns of pain and suffering that I was ready to release.

And THIS lesson is the golden nugget I want to share with you today:

When we commit ourselves to the practice of non-attachment and trusting the unfolding of our journeys, no matter the circumstances, life begins to get pretty miraculous.

When we recognize that letting go of the way we think things MUST be, we open ourselves to the way things CAN be.

This applies to babies, business and everything in between.

When we give ourselves permission to fully immerse into the magic of life - with the incredible gifts we already possess (make a list for yourself!) - we are free.

It's a simple process, but one few will master.

Yet, this is the key to true freedom.

When we open the door to the abundance and the blessings that already exist in our world (even that which we cannot see), we get on the frequency of more to come.

When it comes to our health, our finances, our businesses and our world, looking for and affirming what's good is the doorway to more good!

I'm sure you've noticed that your Big Vision is evolving on the daily.

Emotions are running high for all of us here in June 2020.

Never has there been a more important time for self-mastery + real support.

And here's the truth....

Your business cannot operate without you taking care of and tending to yourself and your ever-evolving vision for your life.

My mission is to equip you with the inner discovery work + support that will yield the greatest results for your life.

So here are a few questions to help you amplify what's good and clarify your greatest zones of opportunity (right click to download + save):

(Here they are, again, in text)

  • How much time do I spend in a day focusing on my Big Vision?

  • How devoted to aligning my thoughts and mindset to my Big Vision am I really?

  • What could change if I decided to devote myself to reframing my thoughts and words throughout the course of my day?

  • What will it take for me to do this and support myself more fully?

  • What habits/behavior patterns/beliefs would I get to release if I took this invitation seriously?

We practice the 80/20 philosophy for our diets, but what about our minds?

What if you cleaned up your thoughts starting today?

I know how deeply you care about being a force for good here.

I know how much you wish to see your business flourish and prosper so you can make an even bigger impact through your work and your contributions.

The simplest path to get there is with your thoughts.

Pay attention to your inputs...

Your inner world is always being influenced by your outer world and vice versa!

What do you need to clean up this week to help you feel better so you can create, do and be better?

I am sending you so much love for the week ahead.

We can, indeed, do hard things.

You matter. Your dreams do too.

Keep going, my friend.
