The Key to Expansion is all about Proximity

I have so much magic to share with you this week, so buckle on up!

These are the 4 things I’m totally psyched about this week:

1. I got to hang out with Justin Bieber’s manager last weekend and here’s what I learned:

I had the opportunity to soak in all of Scooter Braun’s genius last weekend at Lewis Howes’ Greatness Mastermind, and I couldn’t wait to come back and share what I learned with my tribe.

In case you don’t know who he is, let me catch you up:

Scooter Braun is a talent manager who owns two record labels, one which is a joint venture with Usher,  and manages and represents artists like Ariana Grande, Martin Garrix, Carly Rae Jepson, The Wanted and...oh yea, did I mention Justin Bieber?

This man knows a thing or two about how to make build brands.

During our dinner Q&A, I asked him, “What are the top 2-3 factors your most influential brands possess that enable them to grow their reach and make such a massive impact?”

3. My favorite podcast of the week (well...decade, actually):

If there is one person, living or deceased, that I could go out to dinner with it would be Maya Angelou.

This beautiful, wise soul has taught me so much on this journey and this two-part conversation with Oprah (I have listened to numerous times) is like going to church.

I urge you to listen…

“The soul is the spirit that longs for All...that spirit that longs, that says, ‘Let me say something that will lead me to All…’. I write the poetry so I can get closer to All.” - Maya Angelou

4. Because vegan lip gloss

When I found this lip gloss, it literally changed my life. I wear it on stage and for photo shoots and also at the playground with my kid.

It’s vegan (non-toxic, petroleum or gross-cancer causing ingredient free), so the animals are happy and so is my body and my daughter’s when she asks to wear “mama’s lipstick.”

It’s not sticky or weird and it has exceptional staying power and doesn’t taste gross either (did you know that there is research out there about how women eat 4-7 lbs of lipstick in a year from daily use...WTH!?).

My favorite shade is Calla and you literally cannot go wrong with any of the colors.

Grab it here.

Shine on!
