thank you 2024 (a prompt for you)

What a year.

In a sea of recaps and platitudes about creating your best your ever, we're taking a different approach today...

When I think about time and chapters and seasons and dreaming into what's next, the only thing that ever really works is the truth.

And entering truth, itself, seems to only really work when it comes from a place of acceptance and integration of self.

When we are enshrined in our shame - we very often continue to avoid the specific truth that holds our healing. 

If 2024 showed me anything, it's that this work will only be going deeper in the coming year.

If 2024 showed me anything, it's that the way we reach our full potential is through the doorway of meeting truth with an open & tender heart.

If 2024 showed me anything, it's that our businesses are an extension of *this* and our "next level" can only be met through a threshold of truth.

Which leads me to the prompt I want to share with you...

It's a writing exercise that has no rules or limits.

It's called, "Thank you 2024."

You can use this exercise with anything in your entire life...any mountain, trial, tribulation, loss, win, relationship, anything.

Here's mine:

Thank you 2024

20,000 minivan miles logged.
Faraway places discovered, new levels & layers revealed.
A strength and steadiness I desperately needed to remeet.

I tried softer and broke old molds.
Healed inside ancient stories for lifetime level shifts.
Liberated her.
Reclaimed her.
Rebirthed her.

Blazed new trails.
Found new teachers.
Muted. Cleared. Clarified.

Wrote tens of thousands of words.
Taught hundreds of hours.
Held hearts close to my chest.
Went all-in.

Grew apart.
Grew together.
Mothered - good God did I MOTHER.

Opened the box.
Found forgiveness & mercy.
Wrote a new story.
Loved with every cell of my being.

Played. Dreamed. Moved. Listened.
Built our Tree Haus.
Worshipped this body for the first time - ever...ever.

Learned what love really means.
Revelled.
Rejoiced.
Refrained.
Handed the poet the reins.

Made peace with my righteous rage.
Made feeding my people a holy practice.
Made enough mean enough - once and for all.
