solstice wishes & a new poem for you
We are properly nestled in on one of the coldest days here since last winter.
We're playing games and watching holiday movies and moving slower than slow.
As someone who has struggled with the slow down (hello generator vibes) - I am savoring and integrating 2024.
It has been a tremendous year of inner work and personal expansion and an aligning of what's deep and true in every, single facet of my being.
The biggest them has been a reconnection to body wisdom and the ways my work is woven intimately with that very same wisdom.
And while I am a new, more liberated version of myself, this holiday feels tender, with loved ones facing health challenges and the recognition of the finite nature of this 3D life-experience we get to do here together.
My inner poet is a lifeline - a translator of soul work, a comfort on this winter solstice weekend and a guiding voice.
When I woke up in the dark this morning I was met with new words and an offering to share with you as we walk together through this next season.
For you:
The Longest Night
by Amber Lilyestrom
The waning moon hangs over our snowy pond.
The deep freeze taunts me from the hollows of my mind.
Like a quiet crash of dark and light.
The knowing that it's time.
The meeting of shadows.
Where surrender is a softening.
The way soil holds what we were never meant to see.
The way the fire brings us back to life -
Clearing tethers and truth.
The way everything has a pulse and a purpose.
Like these sleepless nights
And these words cracking their shells to find us in the dark.

Wishing you and yours a blessed holiday with space to pause and receive the gifts of your world.
Here's to nature walks, slices of solitude, asking for what you need (and being specific) & magical moments abounding.
You are more powerful than you know.
Much Much Love to you, dear soul,
Amber
