showing the work + how to own your process
I hired a personal trainer I found on Instagram a few weeks ago.
It feels like I'm on a whole new life regimen and I'm loving the accountability and support after that preliminary "oh gawd, this is hard...what have I done?" moment.
It feels really good to have a workout plan that seems to be working already...and even better - the know-how behind it.
But this email isn't about macros, weight lifting or getting your steps in...though those things are all helpful.
It's about what lead me to hiring this specific trainer and what he did that made it an easy "here's my credit card, let's go" kind of yes.
These are the kinds of things I see getting overlooked everywhere; but, are an actual game changer when done well.
And since we're doing the necessary, hard work in 2025 because we're ready for real results...
I want to help you break this down and activate them one at a time.
Here are top 3 keys that will change your business:
1. Building a strong presence on your ideal client's platform of choice
Read: From one quick look at my trainer's IG profile, you can see exactly what he does. He spells out the desired outcome in his bio and he talks about the unique challenges women face when it comes to building muscle and losing fat. These are two specific things his ideal client (read: me) want to accomplish.
Some of the ways you can swiftly do this in your biz:
Use pinned posts to share your process, your results and your story.
Revise your bio to a specific "I help" statement: I help (who you help) (what you help them do - be as specific as humanly possible).
Ex: Here's me: I help women entrepreneurs nail their messaging, scale for financial flow & build a biz that loves them back.
Create content that speaks to the desired outcomes your clients are after (A LOT)
2. Showing the work
Read: This is where you want to share the classic before & after for your dream client, the behind the scenes process of the transformation and what it's like to work with you.
Some of my favorite ways to do this is with:
Screenshots from client shares (with permission)
Case studies/features
Good old fashioned testimonials/success stories

Share more than you feel comfortable with - I suggest a rhythm of 2x per week for starters.
3. Centering the transformation/process you offer
Read: Repetition is how we learn. When your future clients are building new neural pathways in their brains that relate to getting to know YOU and your work, putting in the reps is imperative. It's literally the anatomy of how relationships are formed.
Just think about that last time you met a new friend or had a crush you just wanted to hang out 24/7.
Now - not quite the same; but, the mechanics of the brain (and the algorithm) will work in your favor if the connection is real.
Talking about your process, centering the transformation and speaking to the specific challenges your dream clients face while trying to achieve the desired outcome on their own is the most meaningful thing you can do.
Add in story telling, personal and client anecdotes and you'll take it up a notch!
When it comes to social media, content creation - anything - in your business, the transformational process and relationship are the most centrally important elements.
If I had to give you 3 central things to focus on this month it would be this:
1. RELATIONSHIP: Building a strong presence on your ideal client's platform of choice
2. RESULTS: Showing the work
3. PROCESS: Centering the transformation you offer
