My heart is cracking open + here's what I'm doing about it ❤️

My heart is reeling for our beloved Aussie friends.

An article I read this morning shared that more than 12 million acres have burned on the continent - the equivalent of both New Hampshire, my home state, + her sister, Vermont, going up in flames.

I watched a video of a koala being rescued, wailing in pain from burns as it drank from a plastic water bottle and rescuers poured another bottle over its little body and I couldn't hold back the tears.

We've been giving to charities that we trust and having conversations about our family's impact on climate change.

We're talking about eliminating single-use plastic from our lives and continuing onward with our dairy + meat-free way of life.

According to the BBC, "By reducing your consumption of animal protein by half, you can cut your diet's carbon footprint by more than 40%."

Flying less, driving less (all the more reason to get on that work from home life in 2020!), installing solar panels and being intentional with clothing purchases are just some of the ways we can, personally, influence change. Read more here

And here's another article, from ABC News, with more suggestions on how to affect climate change in your world.

We're all in this together.

And change like isn't easy even when it's a necessity.

And oftentimes it feels easier to blame than it does to look in the mirror and say, "Here's one way I can contribute today. Tomorrow, I'm going to try again."

Social and cultural change can be a choice we make or one we're forced to make.

My hope is that today's conversation is an invitation for each of us to work our land, take radical personal responsibility and to see the possibilities for a broader impact in the process.

One of the ways we're doing this is by making the decision that that ANY + ALL proceeds from BOGO Ignite Your Soul Summit tickets purchased in the next 48 hours will go to benefit the Australian Wildfire recovery effort.

That's a $249 donation you can make TODAY while also receiving 2 tickets to our 2020 Summit to positively impact you and a loved one.

Cue today's Sacred Sunday song here

Here's what I know:

We need each other.

We need those meals made for the new mamas, hand-me-down clothes for the babes, carpool help and second chances, shout outs and tickets purchased to support a friend who's taking a big leap.

We need the calls to check-in and see how that family member is doing (even when they say they're fine every time), the laundry folding helper, the bed maker, the place to crash when times get tough, the shoulder to cry on and beyond.

We need each other to comment and like and text and SHOW UP.

Because the competitive, be-the-very-best way of life is drying up on the vine.

And frankly, it's not what most of us even wanted in the first place.

Our dreams look like being safe and secure, helpful, home and happy with our people.

We're craving connection, collaboration and creativity and the abundance that naturally comes with these things.

If I know anything about you, Love, your big vision has the word GIVE right at the top of the list.

You want to be in a position to affect even more positive change with your business and your bank account.

You want to give and create your own initiatives in your community to make a bigger impact.

I'm with you...

Today's Sacred Sunday message is all about the heartbeat of what happens when we move towards what moves us most.

Let this be your reminder that your resources, your efforts, your energy and your time are worth investing in your biggest mission.

The challenges you're working on in your world today are a worthy cause.

Keep going.

If you need help in figuring out the how, we are here to support you in getting it off the ground.
