5 Big Q's for you to walk with
We got some hard news last week.
We felt the rainbow of emotions rain down all around us in the rubble of a dream we've been carrying for longer than we can recall.
We mourned what might have been, stared up at the stars and quietly began dreaming again.
We held each other and asked new questions we had never thought about before.
We entertained new options.
We played with possibilities.
We contemplated what this next chapter was calling forth.
And we wondered which piece to the big puzzle of this thing called life we were discovering in this moment.
I shared our IVF story over on instagram if you want to learn more about what we've been experiencing.
After the news landed hard on my heart, I got on the treadmill for the first time in weeks.
With each step, I felt the pain of where this body has been over the last few months and reunited with myself.
Through sweat and tears and a new playlist, I felt the layers of what I have been carrying start to fall away.
This journey has quietly been carving me into a new version of myself.
I've tapped into newfound tenants of strength inside this bonfire heart of mine and put my words to work.
That's the thing about being here + human, our heartbreak is here to help us see ourselves more fully.
And blessedly, it opens the doorway to questions like:
What really matters to me?
What feels like home to me?
What am I ready to put down?
What am I ready to commit myself to?
As we round the bend on one full year in the grip of a global pandemic, it feels like a really important juncture for these questions.
I invite you to take some time to walk with them today or later in the week in whatever way feels most helpful to you.
Add this one in for good measure:
5. Is my life aligned with what matters most to me?
>> If so, how could I line things up even more?
>> If not, what will it take to make the necessary shifts?
I hope these questions serve your heart and open what has been awaiting you.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.
